Meet
Bronx may look tough, but he’s a definitely a teddy bear. This poor boy has lived a tough life. He arrived with old injuries from bites, possible chemical burns, and his “home-cut” ears.
Despite his unkind history, he is a lover of people. While he has had positive meetings with some dogs, we believe Bronx would be best as an only dog, at least initially. Based on his reaction to rabbits and squirrels, we would not suggest a cat in the house.
Bronx is heartworm positive. He also has a Stage 4 heart murmur, most likely due to damage from the heartworms. Heartworm positive dogs can go on to live perfectly normal lives, but during his treatment, Bronx really needs to be in a calmer environment. Almost Home Shelter will pay all medical expenses for Bronx’s heartworm treatment.
